Commissions

It is a rewarding experience to create commissioned work for collectors. The process begins with listening to your vision for the artwork and then we start a dialogue. If possible, I like to visit the proposed subject/setting so I can get a better sense of the project. Sometimes that isn't possible and then we can work from photographs and your personal impressions or memories. Small sketches and little studies are created so we can review and begin to craft this one-of-a-kind piece of art that will tell a story, your story.

The best outcomes are assignments that allow me to explore a creative interpretation of your story. "Walk around and paint the view that inspires you," are my favorite words.

A limited number of commissions are accepted each year. Depending on the unique aspects of individual projects, the lead time can range between 3-9 months for completion.
